1. Offline-First Architecture & Zero Cloud Storage

FuelSync does not require user account registration, phone number verification, or password management. All vehicle logs, fuel volume records, odometer readings, and maintenance notes are stored strictly within a local SQLite database sandboxed on your personal device.

2. Device Permissions & Transparency

FuelSync requests only the runtime permissions necessary to deliver core features:

• Location (GPS & Foreground Service): Used solely during an active, user-initiated trip tracking session to compute real-time speed, elapsed distance, and odometer deltas. The session is clearly indicated by an active Android Foreground Service notification (IntercomForegroundService). GPS points are saved strictly to your local device database and are never broadcast to remote analytics servers.
• Microphone (Audio Capture): Used strictly during Tour Intercom voice sessions to capture audio and stream raw UDP packets over local Bluetooth / Wi-Fi Direct mesh networks to nearby riders. Audio is processed in real time and is never recorded, stored, or uploaded to any cloud server.
• Camera & Photo Library: Used to scan fuel station receipts via on-device Optical Character Recognition (Google ML Kit OCR) and to attach vehicle registration documents to your local E-Document Vault. Image processing occurs 100% on-device.
• Nearby Devices (Bluetooth & Wi-Fi Direct): Used solely for Tour Intercom peer-to-peer discovery and headset audio routing during group motorcycle tours.
• Biometrics (Fingerprint / Face ID): Used solely as an optional local security gate to protect your E-Document Vault using standard Apple LocalAuthentication and Android BiometricPrompt APIs. Biometric data remains sealed within your device's secure enclave.
• Notifications: Used for scheduled local reminders (e.g., periodic oil service and vehicle document renewal reminders) and live trip status updates.

3. Third-Party Services & Zero Analytics Trackers

FuelSync does not incorporate any third-party behavioral advertising SDKs (e.g., Google AdMob, Unity Ads, Facebook Audience Network) or user tracking analytics SDKs (e.g., Firebase Analytics, AppsFlyer, Mixpanel).

Map rendering is powered by OpenStreetMap cartographic tiles fetched over HTTPS with standard user-agent attribution. No personally identifiable search or location queries are logged.

4. Data Ownership, Export & Total Deletion

You have full and permanent control over all stored data:

• Data Export: You can export complete vehicle profiles, fuel histories, and maintenance records as standard JSON or CSV files at any time.
• Data Deletion: You can permanently wipe all vehicles, trips, and documents directly within the app via Settings → Delete Data, or by clearing the application storage in your mobile operating system settings.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

FuelSync is not directed at children under the age of 13. Because the Application does not collect, transmit, or store personally identifiable information, we do not knowingly solicit or maintain information from children.

6. Policy Updates

Any revisions to this Privacy Policy will be posted to this page with an updated Effective Date. Continued use of the Application after revisions constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
